You will lead a team to deploy Aurora’s models in new markets, quantitatively analysing energy markets and transmission systems, and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. You will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesising conclusions into recommendations.The successful applicant will combine technical strength with a strong track record of leadership and performance in team-oriented environments. You will enjoy autonomy, the opportunity to substantially influence major decisions in the energy sector, and to grow into an industry expert under the guidance of senior leaders with deep experience, addressing major strategic issues at the world’s leading electricity market modelling firm.The position suits a candidate with 4+ years of experience, preferably in a technical role within the power sector, and with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline, such as Physics).Key ResponsibilitiesLead research reports and conduct modelling of high-voltage transmission systems across the APAC region, to enable better analysis of the energy transitionEngage with clients across consulting engagements, performing power-flow analysis, developing timely and rigorous quantitative reports to enhance clients’ decision makingWork closely with our modelling team, quantifying electrical engineering challenges and deriving insights from model resultsContribute to our product development, by identifying new opportunities and expanding our capabilitiesCommunicate findings to clientsYou will report to the APAC Head of Research and work within Aurora’s larger Research team.
