THE OPPORTUNITY
You will apply your background in logistics operations to manage your own portfolio of clients and provide solutions to client needs, including but not limited to freight bookings, quotations and delivery management.
Your average daily responsibilities will include:
- Manage freight bookings
- Prepare quotations and consignment notes
- Prepare transit and delivery of goods
- Provide solutions to client queries or job changes
- Promptly action all phone & email queries
- Build and maintain strong client & stakeholder relationships
- Deliver excellent frontline customer service in all interactions
- Provide back up assistance to team members
What we're looking for:
- Experience in logistics operations, preferably with a freight forwarder
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks quickly
- Solid understanding of freight management, pricing structures, volumes, weights, road rules/regulations to hit the ground running
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products
- Proficiency with sales management software
