Senior Lecturer (Early Childhood Education)
$151,018 – $164,087 plus 17% super and more
Play a key academic and leadership role in the National School of Education in the discipline of Early Childhood Education.
ACU offers 17% employer superannuation, salary packaging and generous leave provisions.

Operating within
School of Education VIC - Melbourne
, the Senior Lecturer (Early Childhood Education) will play a key academic and leadership role in the National School of Education. The Senior Lecturer provides input into teaching innovations and curriculum development contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and effective coordination, supervision and/or mentoring of staff.
The Senior Lecturer will participate in the ongoing development, delivery, coordination and assessment of units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of Early Childhood Education in line with the School's national curricula. The role includes contributing to academic governance and advisory roles, and actively participating in the accreditation and review of existing programs. The successful applicant will contribute to research excellence — embedding current research in unit development, publishing in high-quality outlets, applying for research grants and/or industry consultancies, and supervising higher degree research students. The engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning in line with the Faculty and University is central to the role. The Senior Lecturer will lead development and maintenance of productive collaborations at local and national levels, contributing to interdisciplinary connections across industry and/or the wider community.
Responsibilities
Develop, deliver, coordinate and assess units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Early Childhood Education.
Contribute to teaching innovations and curriculum development.
Participate in academic governance, accreditation, and program reviews.
Engage in research, publish in high-quality outlets, seek grants and industry engagements, and supervise higher degree research students.
Lead and maintain collaborations locally and nationally to support interdisciplinary connections.
Qualifications and Requirements
Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching and curriculum development within Early Childhood Education.
Experience in research, scholarly activities and supervision of higher degree students.
Ability to contribute to governance, accreditation processes and program reviews.

Total remuneration valued to
$178,414 - $193,705
total rem (pro rata) per annum, including salary component
$151,018 - $164,087
(Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
17% employer superannuation contributions
to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata, dependent on commencement date.
