About the Role
The Management Accountant works within a faculty or Division in partnership with the Faculty or Divisional senior management staff.
The position is expected to be pro‐active, customer‐oriented and drive delivery of quality financial services within the Unit, as well as act as the conduit to central Finance teams in conjunction with the Finance Partner for the purposes of consolidated University finance reporting and financial management.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
* Partnering with the Finance Partner to maximise the effectiveness of the Unit budget and support strategic financial outcomes.
* Leading and delivering financial planning cycles, including budget preparation, forecasting, and multi‐year planning.
* Providing expert financial advice and insights to senior stakeholders to enable informed decision‐making.
* Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with UTS policies and procedures.
* Overseeing month‐end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis to monitor performance.
* Building stakeholder capability by providing ongoing financial guidance and improving financial acumen across the Unit.
* Conducting financial modelling, analysis, and scenario planning to support business initiatives and strategy.
* Driving continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting practices while ensuring strong data integrity.
Base Salary Range: $120,827 - $137,609 pa (HEW 8)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full‐time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
