They work across a number of markets including range and pasture, vegetation management, turf and ornamentals, pest management and forestry amongst others.
As they continue to expand their portfolio and evolve their relationships with key customers across a number of segments in Australian agriculture, they are looking for their next Business Development Specialist to grow their commercial partnerships across Eastern Queensland.
The Opportunity
Working closely with Commercial leadership and the broader sales team, you will drive sales and growth across our client's product portfolio (Range and Pasture focus) via targeted sales strategies. You will work closely with Australia's top rural retail partners, positioning our clients' products as the leader in Range and Pasture management solutions.
You will work to develop and deliver on territory and portfolio plans, and implement engagement plans to prioritise key customers and high-value accounts across your territory. This role will include representing our client at a number of rural events, field days, training workshops and industry demonstrations, and you will be seen as a key commercial partner for retail partners.
About You
We would be keen to speak with you if you have the following experience:
* A degree in Science, Agriculture, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in agribusiness, crop protection, rural retail, agricultural sales, pasture management, or related industries.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive growth.
* Proven ability to build deep relationships with customers, rural retail partners, and industry bodies ideally across a similar region.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to lead demonstrations, trials, and field-based training activities.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes.
This role will cover a territory from Northern Queensland through to the Sunshine Coast so the candidate must be comfortable with regular travel as part of their role and demonstrate experience with this. The candidate can be located anywhere within this territory.
