ABOUT THE ROLE: This is your chance to join the team at Morris Nautical in Cairns QLD as part of Morris Group. From scuba diving the World-Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, to unparalleled luxury and fine-dining, Morris Nautical's luxury superyachts provide a world-class opportunity for all guests.
The Morris Nautical fleet includes three superyacht vessels, moored at Cairns Marlin Marina
* M.Y. Northern Escape, M.Y. Beluga and M.Y. Flying Fish.
We are currently in the process of building two additional superyacht vessels that will join our fleet in Cairns within the next 6-12 months. Morris Nautical has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Dive Instructor to join our professional superyacht crew, based in Cairns QLD. We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Senior Dive Instructor to lead the dive instructor crew aboard our fleet of superyachts.
The ideal candidate will have strong guest service skills, solid deck experience and a proactive attitude toward diving operations, equipment maintenance and leading dive activities for guests. As the Senior Dive Instructor for Morris Nautical, you will be responsible for:
* leading the team of dive instructors for the whole fleet of superyachts;
* ensuring compliance by all dive instructors with all registration/licencing requirements & monitoring dive instructor performance;
* planning, organising and leading safe & enjoyable diving activities for guests & crew;
* maintaining all dive equipment, compressors & related gear to the highest safety & cleanliness standards;
* providing dive briefings, training & supervision of all divers in line with certification agency guidelines to ensure proper diving techniques, safety & the correct use of equipment by all divers;
* liaising with the superyacht Captain and/or Chief Officer regarding dive locations, weather conditions & safety protocols;
* assisting with daily deck operations relevant to the dive activities, including line handling, watersports set-up, tender driving & general maintenance;
* ensuring all open water diving activities comply with maritime safety regulations & environmental standards;
* maintaining detailed records of dive activities, equipment servicing, air fills etc.

* contributing to the positive on-board environment by supporting guest experiences.
Full-Time Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 ABOUT YOU: To be considered for the position of Senior Dive Instructor for the fleet of superyachts at Morris Nautical, you will need:
* Appropriate dive instructor certifications
* minimum PADI / SSI dive instructor (with active status);
* STCW (Standards of Training, Certification & Watchkeeping) certification including PSA (Proficiency in Security Awareness);
* ENG1 medical certification;
* Powerboat Level 2 or Tender driving experience;
* Proven experience working on superyachts or in luxury resort diving operations;
* Extensive experience leading & running open water diving activities;
* Strong focus on safety, professionalism & guest satisfaction;
* Experience working within the
Great Barrier Reef region;
* Leadership skills;
* Superior time management & organisation skills;
* Outgoing & guest-oriented personality;
* Excellent communication & teamwork skills;
* Adaptable work processes & the ability to work in remote or dynamic environments;
* Ability to be discreet, polished & well presented in the work;
* Ability to perform diving instructor duties while focusing on customer needs & requirements; and
* Flexibility with work hours and days, including weekends & public holidays.
