About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team.
In this role, you will work closely with families to provide support and assistance, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
Your primary responsibility will be to engage with all children in your care, while working alongside parents/caregivers to promote family independence.
Depending on your driving eligibility status, including availability of a reliable vehicle and willingness to transport participants, you can be considered as a driving or non-driving Support Worker.
Responsibilities
* Provide individualized support to families and children
* Assist with daily tasks and activities
* Collaborate with parents/caregivers to develop personalized plans
* Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Child Care, Social Work, Mental Health or Disability (or equivalent experience)
* High levels of empathy and engagement
* Familiarity with babies and children's development and routines
* Understanding of people with disabilities, particularly mental health and their care requirements
* Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
