We currently have exciting opportunities within our Vegetation Management team in South East Queensland.
About the opportunity
We are seeking multiple positions for Vegetation Field Team Leader & Team Members with opportunities for Full-time & Casual positions. These roles involve working across various sites in South East Queensland to assist in land conservation including weed control, planting, and equipment maintenance.
As a field-based role, you must be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions. You will receive ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and pursue your passion for Land Management.
About you
To be successful in a Team Lead role:
* Cert III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent/ relevant tertiary degree;
* Experience in species identification (native and weeds);
* Chemical application accreditation/ ACDC Licence and spraying experience;
* Leadership experience;
* 4WD and towing experience.
To be successful in a Team Member role:
* Desirable qualifications include Cert I or II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, experience in vegetation/land/weed management, or interest in species identification;
* Relevant tickets or experience with equipment operation and maintenance;
The following requirements apply to both Team Leader and Team Member roles:
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card);
* Open/unrestricted Drivers Licence;
* Experience with hand tools;
* Map-reading skills;
* Able to work unsupervised;
* Good attitude towards workplace health and safety;
* Physically fit and able to undertake labour-intensive work;
