Senior Analyst

Location – Parramatta Hybrid

Employment type – Temporary till 30 June 2028

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10, $ 129,464- $142,665 per annum + superannuation

Your role

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.

The Senior Analyst is responsible for utilising business intelligence tools to manage and improve reporting processes, including by establishing automated reporting and an interactive visual management board.

What you'll do

* Develop, manage and enhance dashboards in PowerBI to provide real-time visual analytics to support program management and decision making.
* Design, develop and implement performance measures, tools and governance processes to improve business systems/processes and workflows, and to enhance organisational capability in analysing and understanding performance.
* Proactively identify issues with quality and consistency of data to reduce potential limitations and ensure the useability of the data for analysis and reporting, and to inform service delivery practice and outcomes and to facilitate organisational continuous improvement.
* Provide expert technical support, tools, advice and skills development to program management staff to improve organisational capability in analysing and understanding data.
* Provide specialist advice and recommendations to the Manager in support of performance monitoring and reporting governance processes to improve the efficiency and consistency of performance reporting.
* Work effectively with team members towards mutual continued development and provide feedback and advice on analysis undertaken.

What we're looking for

* Tertiary qualifications in information technology/business/finance and/or equivalent experience.
* Advanced skills and experience in developing and managing PowerBI dashboards to present information to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
* Demonstrated capability in project reporting or similar position ideally within the land development, construction and property industries.
* Experience in system accounting and developing management reports from SAP and other accounting systems.
* Effective communication, negotiation, presentation and training skills, to translate complex information to stakeholders at multiple levels.
* An understanding of the fundamentals of property development and working knowledge of the construction, building, property and land development industries and performance indicators would be an advantage.
