Newly opened Olive Court will support three adults with intellectual disabilities, each with unique strengths and support needs.
Staff Working In This Home Must Be Able To
* Build warm, respectful, person-centred relationships
* Follow behaviour support strategies consistently
* Support independence while maintaining structure and reassurance
* Communicate clearly, calmly and predictably
* Assist with daily-living tasks, health routines, and community participation
Staff will at times be required to work alone, this means:
* Staff must be confident supporting residents independently
* Staff must be able to make safe, calm decisions without immediate on-site backup
* Strong adherence to plans, routines, safety procedures, and documentation is essential
* Staff must be comfortable managing personal care, health routines, and behavioural supports independently
* Staff will have access to on-call support and established escalation pathways
* This home suits staff who are reliable, composed, and confident working autonomously when required.
The type of person we are looking for to join our team:
* Calm, predictable, and patient
* Confident working independently and following structured support plans
* Skilled at de-escalation and emotional regulation support
* Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving
* Respectful of privacy and autonomy
* Reliable and consistent in routines
To be successful in this role you must have or be willing to obtain:
* Qualification requirement of a Cert IV in disability
* NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and Working with Children's Check (Employee)
* Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Valid Australian Working Rights and an International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one (1) year within the last ten years.
* Valid VIC drivers Licence
