This is a great opportunity in George, Southern Cape Province looking to join a dynamic transportation team.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with and supporting a team of experienced and specialist traffic and transport engineersTechnical management of transport engineering projects, which range from small traffic impact assessments through major public transport planning, implementation and operational management projects running over many yearsParticipation in the administration of projects in line with company requirementsLead or assist with compiling tenders for any Transport Planning/Traffic Engineering related opportunitiesPlan all types of field surveys, engaging with surveying team, and analysis of resultsPlanning oversight and involvement in existing Integrated Public Transport Network (IPTN) route operationsPlanning of new public transport routes as necessitated by demandScheduling of public transport services, including the development and amendment of timetablesClear and concise reporting of any investigations undertaken in both report and presentation formatsAttendance and reporting at various meetings with Clients, operational teams and third parties etc.Minimum RequirementsBEng /BSc / BTech Engineering qualification5-10 years relevant working experience with an interest in Transportation Planning / Public TransportShould be able to speak English and AfrikaansAbility to develop and enhance client relationshipsA self-motivated individual with the ability to work under pressureAbility to work in a team environment, within a client office and other 3rd partiesMust have a valid South Africa driving licence and be willing and able to travel, when required.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
