Role Description
The Brighter Futures Youth Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting young people transitioning out of the child protection system. This intensive, one-on-one case management service is delivered through an assertive outreach model.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Building Relationships: Foster strong bonds with clients using micro-counselling techniques to create a safe and supportive environment.
2. Safety Assessments: Conduct thorough safety assessments and respond promptly in instances of domestic and family violence.
3. Counselling Sessions: Facilitate conversations and introspection on assessment domains, promoting client growth and development.
4. Client Management: Lead tough conversations with clients outlining non-negotiables of statutory bodies, while delivering positive reinforcement and highlighting client strengths and successes.
