We're now seeking a Project Architect who thrives on designing practical, compliant, and buildable solutions — and who wants to see their designs move from concept to steel on the ground with real-world impact.
Role Overview
The Project Architect plays a pivotal role in leading architectural design, documentation, and coordination across AUSPAN's diverse portfolio.
You will work from concept to IFC, ensuring all architectural outputs are accurate, compliant, and tightly integrated with structural and services disciplines.
Your work directly shapes project feasibility, construction efficiency, client satisfaction, and AUSPAN's reputation for delivering projects that are smart, practical, and ready to build.
This role is suited to someone who loves the detail, understands constructability, and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
Lead development of architectural concepts through to construction documentation.
Produce detailed drawings, schedules, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
Prepare DA and Building Permit packages and coordinate submissions.
Deliver IFC documentation that is clear, buildable, and aligned with AUSPAN's methodologies.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure all designs comply with NCC, Australian Standards, planning requirements, and safety principles.
Identify risks early and provide practical solutions.
Work closely with the Design Manager, Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, and Drafting teams.
Coordinate with structural and services consultants to ensure seamless integration.
Liaise with clients to interpret briefs, resolve design queries, and deliver functional outcomes.
Enhance design templates, BIM standards, efficiencies, and documentation quality.
Mentor draftspersons and contribute to lifting internal capability.
About You
You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where design decisions directly influence buildability, timeframes, and cost outcomes.
You bring:
Degree in Architecture.
4–8+ years' experience in industrial, commercial, or large-format building projects.
Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (Enscape desirable).
Strong understanding of NCC, AS requirements, and local council processes.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and resolve details proactively.
A mindset that balances creativity with practicality.
