Job Description
The role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Cardiac Rehabilitation involves providing health coaching and education to patients with chronic cardiac conditions. The CNS will work closely with the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation team to deliver rehabilitation education sessions at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
As a senior nursing clinical leader, the CNS will be responsible for developing specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit or team. This requires advanced clinical skills, autonomy of decision making, and collaboration with managers and other senior clinicians.
The CNS will also be responsible for providing health education and support to patients through rehabilitation education sessions. This will involve working closely with the CNC Cardiac Rehabilitation team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and support throughout their recovery journey.
