Tailings (Civil / Geotechnical) Engineer
We are looking for an enthusiastic Tailings Engineer who is looking to grow their consulting experience in a technically talented team where you can innovate and develop your career in a thriving Tailings team based in West Perth.

This is a hands-on role, where you will be working alongside more senior consultants to deliver high quality technical work for various clients.

In a typical week you could expect to participate in:
* Technical analyses for tailings storage facilities (TSFs), including slope stability, seepage, consolidation and water balance assessments.
* The design of new and existing TSFs, including embankment raises, drainage and seepage control systems, deposition plans, and water management infrastructure.
* Geotechnical site investigations and construction QA/QC activities, including coordination of drilling, sampling, laboratory testing and field monitoring.
* Analysing and interpreting instrumentation and monitoring data and providing recommendations related to TSF performance and risk.
* Preparing technical reports, design documents, drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* Supporting dam safety reviews, risk assessments and governance activities, including gap analyses and development of OMS manuals and monitoring/TARP frameworks.
* Mentoring junior staff, contribute to internal technical development, and support proposal preparation and business development activities as required.
We expect you to have:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
* Minimum of 3-year experience in tailings management (you may be considered for a graduate role if this is not met).
* Current member of Engineers Australia or the ability to obtain this.
* Experience in seepage and stability analyses.
* Experience in undertaking engineering analyses.
* Experience in undertaking site work.
* Language fluency in English.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to high quality technical reports.
* A strong desire to grow and develop your technical skills in a diverse team.
* The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Confidence in using different technologies, and the ability to upskill on new systems quickly
* Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizen and permanent residents preferred)
* Willingness to travel as required (domestic and remote locations).
* Be based in Perth.
