Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time

24‐month temporary appointment (full‐time or part‐time 0.50–1.00 FTE), with the possibility of a further term and/or permanent appointment.

South Regional TAFE (SRT) is dedicated to delivering a diverse range of nationally recognised programs throughout the Great Southern and Southwest regions of Western Australia. With a presence spanning 12 campuses from Bunbury to Esperance and from Albany to Narrogin, we offer flexible delivery options, including on‐site, online and workplace‐based programs.

About the Role

The Transition Consultant participates in the identification and implementation of training and other opportunities to meet existing workforce requirements while also supporting the ability of workers impacted by transitions away from their existing industry to gain employment in the future. The position uses a client‐centred, case management approach, working with employers, employees, and training organisations to provide leadership and practical assistance to enable employees to make individual, tailored transitions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will require the skills to identify future workforce requirements and training opportunities to support those impacted by workforce transition. A strong knowledge of the training and VET sector is essential.

Eligibility and Conditions

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed‐term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).

This selection process may be used to identify suitable applicants for similar vacancies that arise within the next twelve months.
