About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality & Compliance Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation, ensuring high quality care and services are delivered to our residents and community clients while meeting the requirements of the new Aged Care Act and strengthened Quality Standards.
You will work closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to coordinate and deliver the organisation's audit program and quality system, ensuring compliance, excellence, and resident-centred outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating the implementation of the organisation's quality system, audit program, and continuous improvement activities
* Ensuring all regulatory requirements and strengthened Quality Standards are met
* Overseeing compliance management, monitoring, and reporting
* Preparing for accreditation applications, audits, and site visits, supporting staff readiness
* Managing the external benchmarking process and ensuring timely submissions
* Preparing detailed reports on quality and compliance activities for the CEO and SMT
* Developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and best practice
* Coordinating and delivering staff training programs on quality, compliance, and accreditation standards
* Promoting a person-centred approach to care and service delivery, aligning with strengthened Quality Standards
* Engaging residents and families to gather feedback, address concerns, and incorporate input into quality improvement initiatives
* Identifying potential risks to care quality and compliance, developing and implementing risk management strategies
* Facilitating Quality Committee meetings and supporting the culture of continuous improvement
What you will bring:
* Skills and personality to lead and support people through quality projects, implementing and overseeing change
* Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
* Sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively at all levels
* Critical thinking and analytical skills
* Strong ability to identify and implement improvement initiatives to increase compliance levels and client satisfaction
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
* A 'can do' attitude with motivation and initiative
Desirable:
* Current registration with AHPRA (Endorsed Enrolled Nurse) or Certificate III or IV in Aged Care
* Qualification and/or experience in Occupational Health & Safety
* Certification in quality management or compliance
* Experience coordinating quality improvement programs within aged care
* Knowledge of aged care accreditation processes and quality assurance
* Understanding of compliance and clinical governance requirements
* Project management experience from commencement to completion with successful outcomes
* Experience communicating effectively with elderly people, including those living with dementia
