Clerk Grade 9/10- $129,464 - $142,665 plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

Leading a motivated and dedicated team, this role will lead and manage the tenant participation team to deliver community engagement initiatives and strategic plans across the district. The team leader will foster strong partnerships between tenants, stakeholders, and Homes NSW to support sustainable tenancies and thriving communities.

What you'll do

With a strong client focus, this role will drive community engagement initiatives that empower tenants to provide feedback, influence service improvements, and enhance community wellbeing.

The responsibilities of this role will include, but will not be limited to:

* Supervising and supporting the tenant participation team to ensuring compliance with governance standards and achievement of key milestones
* Designing, implementing, and evaluating local social plans and community-based projects that promote resident participation and build community capacity
* Providing accurate reporting and strategic advice through submissions, briefings, and presentations to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement
* Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships to enhance service delivery, secure funding, and maximise shared value opportunities
* Managing consultations and negotiations with tenants and diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
* Ensuring business practices are in line with current legislative, policy and professional standards and those procedures reflect best practice for tenants, internal clients and project delivery leads
* Prioritising competing internal and external work demands to achieve consistent service/program delivery objectives, given stakeholder expectations, volume, resource constraints, and the diverse range of issues to be resolved within the defined timeframes

What we're looking for

To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have:

* Minimum 5 years' experience in tenant participation and community engagement
* Qualifications in community development or social planning

* A valid NSW driving licence

* Willingness to travel around to different sites as needed
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in working in a dynamic legislative, policy, and political environment
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and budgets with competing priorities
* Ability to work in adherence to legislation and governing compliance requirements
* Strong decision-making skills and confidence in providing expert advice
* Advanced risk management ability
