Hays has partnered with a well-known beverage company to appoint a technical support officer to an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.
Your new role
As a Level 2 IT Support Technician at a leading beverage company, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth technical operations across production, supply chain, and corporate office environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Onsite and Remote Support: Provide Level 2 technical support for end-user devices, Standard Operating Environment (SOE) applications, and infrastructure across various business units.
* Incident Management: Act as the escalation point for site-specific incidents raised by the Service Desk and Command Centre, resolving issues efficiently to restore productivity.
* Deliver in-person support at key sites, including: Diagnosing and resolving hardware issues, supporting AV and hybrid meeting room technologies, troubleshooting network connectivity, deploying and configuring end-user devices
* Project Support: Assist in the delivery of IT and Operational Technology (OT) projects such as device refreshes, site relocations, digital signage implementations, and meeting room AV upgrades, under the guidance of project leads or senior team members.
* Collaboration with Supply Chain and OT Teams: Work closely with operational teams to support production systems and related infrastructure, ensuring continuity and providing troubleshooting support in high-demand environments.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Windows 10/11, and Active Directory
* Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and cable management
* Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred) and ITIL processes
* AV and hybrid meeting room system support
* Device provisioning, lifecycle support, and IT asset management
* IT support in high-availability environments (e.g. production, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG)
* Understanding of health, safety, and compliance in production settings
* Basic knowledge of IT/OT integration (e.g. SCADA, PLCs, RF scanners)
* Ability to collaborate effectively with OT teams
What you'll get in return
You'll be remunerated at an hourly rate between $55 - $60/hour + super, depending on skill set and experience, as well as offered a strong chance of extending beyond the initial 6-month contract.
