Job Title: Lead Smelter Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Smelter Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of fixed plant within the lead smelter, ensuring optimal production efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a trade qualification in mechanical fitting, with current manual driver's license and experience working in a mining or heavy industry environment. They will possess strong problem-solving skills, able to think logically and make sound judgments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including pumps, conveyor systems, and hydraulic systems.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
3. Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement process improvements.
