Evatt Dental Care is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a part-time role, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
8:15am to 5:30pm
Role
- As a Dental Assistant / Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures.
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing dental instruments.
- Providing chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists, including passing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient comfort.
- Managing patient records and updating electronic medical records.
- Greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.
- Coordinating and managing patient flow in the reception area.
- Assisting with billing and insurance claims processing.
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
You
Ideally you will have:
- Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems and dental software.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis, with the willingness to transition into a permanent role.
