About the Organization
Discover a life‐changing opportunity with our surfing‐inspired sustainable development non‐profit organization driving change in impoverished Peruvian coastal communities. We are forging a path toward sustainability through environmental, educational, infrastructure, and socio‐economic initiatives, working hand‐in‐hand with local communities and passionate international interns.
Accomplishments
* Installation of a 13.04 kWp microgrid in Justo Pastor, Nazca, giving the isolated community access to energy for the first time and establishing an energy committee.
* Installation of an 11.28 kWp system for a Medical Center in Talara, Piura, safeguarding vaccines and powering key operation areas.
* Design and implementation of improved cookstoves for clean cooking access and respiratory health using bioconstruction techniques.
* Ongoing projects: Resilient Medical Centers, household PV installations, free energy consultations, and other clean energy initiatives in the region.

The Experience
As a Professional Volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in co‐managing our groundbreaking clean energy initiatives. Daily tasks will vary depending on project progress, offering diverse experiences and growth opportunities.
* Design innovative renewable energy solutions and implement enhancements to existing systems.
* Lead research efforts and devise mechanical and electrical solutions for solar distillers, improved cookstoves, and other renewable devices.
* Collaborate directly with the Director of Renewable Energy to manage project budgets.
* Contribute to on‐site installation and maintenance of projects.
* Drive crowdfunding campaigns to secure funding for new energy projects.
* Participate in educational seminars covering international development, NGO/social enterprise management, marketing, research techniques, and more.
Logistics
* Daily flights from Lima to Talara, with airport pickup and transfer to Lobitos.
* Private accommodation at a top Lobitos hotel, with all meals provided and a weekly restaurant experience.
* One free extracurricular activity per week (surfing, yoga, cave visit, fishing, jiu‐jitsu, kayaking, etc.).
Program Cost
The cost of the programme is 2150 USD for the first two weeks. Please enquire with us for longer stays.
Required Experience and Skills
We are seeking driven and committed interns with a passion for renewables or relevant background knowledge and experience.
