We believe every young person matters. Our mission is to empower young people to take control of their future by providing holistic support and opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Our schools are designed to re-engage students who have struggled in mainstream education. We help them achieve their personal best, develop social and life skills, and work towards pathways in TAFE, employment, training or apprenticeships.

The role
We are seeking a full-time Youth Worker to support and engage young people attending our Youth Futures School at our Mirrabooka site.
In this role, you will work directly with young people who have experienced adversity and disengaged from mainstream education. You will provide case management and holistic support to students experiencing multiple barriers to engagement in education and related support services, with a strong focus on re‑engagement, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
You will foster positive, professional, and trusting relationships with young people, supporting them to build skills, confidence, and pathways toward education, training, and employment. You will be comfortable working both one‑on‑one and with groups, facilitating activities and skill development sessions that respond to the needs and interests of students.
The successful candidate will also support and guide colleagues to ensure a consistent, trauma‑informed, and youth‑centred approach across the school. You will be flexible and adaptive in responding to the diverse and complex challenges faced by at‑risk young people in an educational setting, ensuring your practice is culturally responsive and inclusive of individual gender, developmental, and personal needs.

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant digital systems.
Able to work effectively in partnership with schools, external agencies, and community services to coordinate support.
Motivated to support young people to plan and transition into TAFE, training, apprenticeships, or employment.
Capable of identifying and facilitating culturally responsive education, training, and employment pathways.
Knowledge of education and training pathways, minimum school leaving requirements, and alternative education settings is desirable.
