Position Overview
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Principal Consultant where the role involves working closely with clients to identify security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to protect their information systems. This role designs and implements comprehensive resilience frameworks, assesses risk and vulnerabilities, and ensures cybersecurity posture aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Security Principals lead the day-to-day delivery and growth of Solutions Consulting for large, complex organizations. They build material business cases that drive significant, transformational work. This is achieved by forging strong relationships with customers — understanding their business, shaping their technology and security solutions, and bringing the best of WWT to address their most critical issues. In this role you will provide strategic leadership and deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, guiding both clients and internal teams in developing and implementing robust security solutions. You will drive innovation, oversee complex engagements, and serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity practices, emerging threats, and resilience strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrating track record in Security thought leadership, delivery leadership and consulting skills and deep knowledge in at least 2 of the core security domains (Cyber Resilience, Security Strategy Risk and Compliance, Identity Access Management, SOC / Security Operations, Application security, Data Security, Cloud security, Infrastructure (Network) & Endpoint Security, AI Security) and breadth across most security domains.
* Experienced in Cyber Security Architecture with ability to bridge the gap between high-level security strategy and hands-on technical architecture.
* Working with teams locally and globally to provide content to drive deals.
* Develop and execute strategies to enhance each customer\'s cyber resilience across prevention, detection, response, and recovery.
* Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and address potential threats and weaknesses.
* Evaluate emerging threats and cybersecurity trends and adapt customer strategies and supporting technologies accordingly.
* Taking ownership of end-to-end delivery of security services work for clients, and ensure what\'s sold is getting delivered to satisfaction of client.
* Becoming a role model for security practitioners in the security domains, by being the thought leader in the domain and lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Demonstrating security expertise in one or more industry sectors (preferably banking and mining industries).
Delivery Leadership
* Work as part of a core team serving WWT\'s customers, alongside Consulting Services, Enterprise Architects, Managing Directors, and Account Managers.
* Own project ownership and end products, contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.
* Lead, manage, and develop delivery teams across multiple concurrent engagements.
* Own the problem statement for customers as the leader of day-to-day services delivery.
* Own documentation and organization responsibilities around complex projects, applying strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking and effective interpersonal and communication skills to ensure successful client outcomes and team performance.
Customer & Market Leadership
* Partner with sales and account leaders to identify new opportunities, shape solutions, and support proposals and pricing. Represent the WWT Solutions practice in client discussions, executive briefings, and strategic engagements. Advise clients on needs, solution options, and major escalations.
* Work with WWT account teams to educate them and drive business development and sales.
* Forge a niche and demonstrate thought leadership to develop market position and build WWT\'s offerings.
* Actively pursue business opportunities at large, complex customers; partner with clients and internal WWT teams to develop and negotiate statements of work, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and costs.
* Understand customer needs and make recommendations at the BU and Division Head levels.
* Understand the breadth of what WWT sells and bring the best of WWT to the customer by introducing and selling cross-business services that expand WWT\'s footprint.
People & Practice Growth
* Introduce new tools, technologies, and delivery models to enhance competitiveness and productivity. Collaborate with global teams to scale best practices and strengthen delivery maturity.
* Manage and develop junior team members through coaching, mentoring, and structured career growth.
* Become a recognized thought leader in security, utilizing conferences, white papers, client presentations to build awareness of WWT credentials and support marketing efforts in the region with new and existing customers.
* Develop strong relationships with WWT\'s core technology partners to extend joint go-to-market reach.
* Achieve revenue and profit growth targets for the practice.
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
* 10-15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant time spent in leadership and strategic roles.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing effective cyber resilience strategies and frameworks at enterprise scale.
* Extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership, service management, or consulting, with strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies, and operating models.
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with comfort interacting with senior executives and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex cybersecurity issues and develop effective, pragmatic solutions.
* Proficiency in managing large-scale cybersecurity projects, including scope, budget, and timeline management.
* Experience in performing Cyber Resilience Assessments and designing & implementing Cyber Resilience Programs including Cyber Recovery Vaults, Isolated Recovery Environments (IRE) and Clean Rooms are preferred.
* Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable, including CISSP, CISM, and CISA.
