An opportunity is available for an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead an Acute and Urgent Care unit within a progressive rural health service in Regional Victoria. This role oversees operational effectiveness across the clinical area, including day to day management, workforce coordination, quality and safety, resource utilisation, and the development and performance of the clinical team.
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high quality, person centred care. You will guide and support your team, lead quality initiatives, and contribute to a positive, safe, and efficient work environment.
You will bring:
* Post-graduate training or education in aged care, acute medical, or emergency nursing
* Post-graduate leadership/management education, or willingness to undertake
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a clinical team
* Strong understanding of key clinical guidelines and frameworks, including the Safe Patient Care Act, Code Grey requirements, and NSQHS Standards
* Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
* Experience managing rosters and workforce planning
* Ability to adapt to competing demands
* Annual Flu Vaccination
* Current Police Check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
