About the Role

Are you thinking about moving to Tasmania? Strait Link is looking for a Transport manager willing to relocate to the North West Coast of Tasmania, with a relocation allowance available to support the successful candidate. Link Logistics connects Tasmania to the mainland through an integrated blue‐water and landside supply chain. This role is based within the Road Logistics area of the business.

We're now looking for a strong operational leader to take ownership of our North West Coast Logistic Operations.

This is hands‐on operational leadership in one of Tasmania's most critical fast moving freight corridors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead daily transport operations across the region
* Drive DI‐FOT performance and service consistency
* Align fleet control and fleet support into one cohesive team
* Optimise fleet deployment, route planning and productivity
* Strengthen compliance with NHVR, CoR and fatigue management
* Partner with Sales and Operations to align demand and capacity
* Manage regional labour, maintenance and subcontractor spend
Who We're Looking For

You're an experienced transport leader who understands heavy vehicle operations and the realities of Tasmanian freight.

You bring:

* Proven experience leading logistics operations
* Strong knowledge of HVNL, CoR and fatigue management
* A track record of improving service reliability and operational KPIs
* Confidence leading through change and integration
* The ability to build accountability and lift team capability

Experience across merged or integrated operations will be highly regarded.

This role is based on Tasmania's North West Coast. Candidates must be willing to relocate, with a relocation allowance available to support the successful candidate.
