Systems Engineering Administrator
The Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of complex systems in production and non-production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and support high-performance servers, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to maintain uptime and reliability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in incident response and service restoration.
* Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
* Respond to critical system alerts efficiently and ensure timely resolution of issues.
* Assist with managing user access and permissions within Active Directory.
* Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides for internal knowledge sharing.
* Ensure all systems comply with stringent IT policies and security standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with managing and troubleshooting complex Windows and Linux servers.
* In-depth understanding of server hardware components and infrastructure service delivery.
* Familiarity with system automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
* Strong foundation in Active Directory and user permissions.
* Knowledge of common networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs.
* Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
* Experience with IT service management tools, preferably ServiceNow.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure tasks.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
