* Possess or be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in general surgery or equivalent.
* Sound clinical knowledge in General Surgery - Acute Emergency Surgery.
* High level interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision.
* Sound clinical knowledge in the subspecialty of Acute Surgical Unit.
* Familiarity with research concepts.
