Based out of our Canberra branch, you will complete preventative maintenance and / or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer sitesIdeal location of candidate - North Canberra / Goulburn / somewhere half way between Sydney and CanberraSpecial Bonus - $**** Sign on bonus availableYou will make an impact in the following ways :Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and toolsEscalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and / or SupervisorPerforms preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the fieldCompletes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screensCompletes training in line with skill and business requirementsMaintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operationTrain electrical apprentices in and out of the branch.Coordinate jobs and responsibilities within the branch and delegate workload.Understand relevant electrical certification required in countryEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislationComplete in workshop repairs as requiredEngages with customer in a courteous and professional manner.Candidate will be expected to be mechanically minded and hands on as some power gen services will involve changing oil and filtersRESPONSIBILITIESAdditional Information$**** Sign on bonus applicable for this roleFull Time / 38 hours per weekCompetitive Hourly RateOn Call Allowance providedOvertime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hoursAll your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and launderedLocal Valid Drivers License is requiredMust be happy to travel and work between the Canberra and Sydney branches and stay in Sydney for a few days at a time while projects are completedTo be successful in this role you will need the following :Apprentice Trained Power Generation / Electrical Technician (or equivalent)Diploma / Certificate from relevant technical institutionCurrent relevant electrical certification / ticketsBasic or Intermediate (preferred) level knowledge of and / or experience with power generation productsHigh Voltage / Low Voltage Experience preferredCummins is an equal employment opportunity employer.
