IBM Australia is seeking an experienced SAP Consultant with strong Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) expertise to join our Public Sector team.
While experience in SAP Defense & Security (D&S) is advantageous, it is not essential. We are primarily looking for a consultant with deep functional expertise across SCM and EAM who can deliver complex SAP solutions in large, process-driven environments.
You will play a pivotal role in solution design, configuration, testing, and ongoing support, helping our client optimise supply chain, maintenance, and asset management processes.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of SAP solutions across SCM and EAM domains
* Lead functional workstreams across the full project lifecycle
* Conduct fit-gap analysis and provide solution recommendations aligned to SAP best practices
* Configure and test SAP modules including:
o Materials Management (MM)
o Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/PM)
o Supply Chain processes
* Support maintenance and operational readiness processes
* Ensure integration across supply chain, maintenance, and finance streams
* Participate in implementation planning, rollout, and post-go-live support
* Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, supporting business transformation and change management initiatives
* Drive continuous improvement and solution optimisation initiatives
Required Experience and Skills
* Strong SAP experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/PM)
* Proven experience delivering end-to-end SAP implementations
* Deep understanding of SAP best practice processes
* Cross-functional knowledge across:
o Supply Chain
o Maintenance / Asset Management
o Finance integration
* Experience in public sector or complex regulated environments (desirable)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
* Ability to lead functional streams independently
