About This Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide clinical services at Monash Children's Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing triage support for children and young people who present with problems that may indicate abuse, assault or neglect, in accordance with current guidelines.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries related to requests for forensic paediatric medical service.
* Providing clinical skills and knowledge to coordinate patient care across sites and initiate alternative approaches to care.
* Communicating diagnostic data to treating medical doctors, escalating abnormal patient findings/diagnostic data.
* Supporting an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional practice Portfolio.
* Minimum 5 years Paediatric nursing experience.
