Quality Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Advisor to support the delivery of large‐scale, complex projects within a dynamic engineering and infrastructure environment.
Roster: 5/2 Perth Based | Start date: June | Duration: approx. 12 months – depending on client requirements | Pay Rate: $ p/h
The Role
This role will play a key part in ensuring robust quality systems, processes, and governance are implemented across the full project lifecycle—from early planning through to execution and closeout. The role works closely with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and project teams, providing expert quality guidance and assurance across a portfolio of major capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on quality principles, systems, and processes across project and functional teams.
* Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of project quality management frameworks.
* Contribute to front‐end loading (FEL) activities by defining technical quality requirements for equipment and materials.
* Review and interpret engineering documentation, drawings, and supplier/contractor deliverables for compliance and traceability.
* Assess and approve contractor and supplier quality documentation against technical and contractual requirements.
* Support tender and bid evaluations, identifying quality risks and mitigation strategies.
* Conduct and support project quality audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
* Monitor and report on quality performance across projects and provide insights to stakeholders.
* Facilitate quality inductions, training, and ongoing awareness across project teams.
* Promote a strong quality culture aligned with project and organisational objectives.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality role within engineering, construction, or resources projects.
* Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM project environments.
* Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Familiarity with standards such as ISO, AS, API, ASME, IEC.
* Experience working with OEMs, contractors, and suppliers in a project delivery setting.
* Demonstrated experience in quality audits, inspections, and corrective action management.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non‐technical groups.
* High attention to detail with strong report writing and documentation capability.
* Degree in Engineering or relevant technical/trade qualification preferred.
