The Hunter Class Frigate Program is seeking a Production Welder for a permanent, long-term career opportunity on a major naval defence program.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and/or Trades Trainer within bounds of current competence.
* Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
* Properly maintain materials, tools, and equipment.
* Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes, and effectiveness in the work area.
* Adhere to the BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
About You:
* Experience with fabrication using MIG or Flux Core Welding.
* Ability to read drawings.
* Strong safety focus and enhancing the site safety environment.
* Strong time-keeping abilities.
* Excellent communication.
Clearances: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
