The opportunity
In this role, you'll deliver intelligence-driven security solutions across a diverse client portfolio, using real-time intelligence briefings to inform daily and event security operations. You'll evaluate risks for individuals, property, and events, developing dynamic risk assessments and supporting the design and implementation of tailored security plans. Working collaboratively with team members, you'll identify efficient and innovative ways to meet client needs while maintaining strong communication and professionalism across all interactions. You'll uphold WHS standards, ensure compliance with the Security Industry Act and relevant legislation, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability across varied operational duties.
Tasks
* Patrolling property and checking doors, windows and gates for unauthorised entry
* Watching for irregularities such as fire hazards, malfunctions of machines and equipment, lights left on, leaking water pipes and unlocked security doors
* Issuing security passes to authorised visitors and giving directions
* Monitoring alarms and contacting supervisors, police and fire brigades by radio or phone if security is breached or fire is detected
* Maintaining order at venues where there are large gatherings of people
* Advising clients on security requirements and designing security specifications
* Conduct physical protection of clients and assets, including static guarding, patrols, and response functions.
* Operate CCTV, alarm, and Security Operations Centre (SOC) systems as required.
* Drive and support travel or protection assignments, including interstate and international deployments.
* Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to identify security vulnerabilities.
* Provide first aid and emergency response support to clients when required.
* Maintain fitness and readiness in line with SPG's training and performance standards.
* Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster (two days, two nights, four off) and be available for on-call or short-notice assignments.
* Communicate accurately and effectively with Security Operations Managers to ensure operational alignment.

* Must hold or be able to obtain a NSW or VIC Security Licence
* Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Working With Children Check
* Perform to a 12-7 rotating roster
* Available and receptive to "on-request/call" shifts
* Be flexible in decision making, think outside the box
