We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager with Australian industry experience in either bridge construction, maintenance, or remediation, to join our WA team and be part of a fast-growing business working on upcoming projects based in both metro and country sites.
About the Role
As the Project Manager you will lead project teams, and the effective and profitable management of all aspects of a project. Other key responsibilities include:
* Successful delivery of projects, from beginning to end, assessing and managing project risks and opportunities.
* Leading project programming, cost control, quality control, procurement, and contracts administration.
* Utilising up to date knowledge and understanding of work, health and safety legislation to ensure Fortec's safety standards are reflected throughout the term of the project.
* Providing leadership and mentoring to a team of engineers, supervisors, leading hands, labourers, and sub-contractors, including monitoring of their performance.
* Managing the resourcing of project teams, including recruitment, ensuring a capable workforce.
* Creating long-term successful relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
About You
This role would suit a highly organised person with excellent interpersonal skills, looking to be part of an experienced and collaborative team. Key qualifications and skills required include:
* Full working rights to work in Australia.
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; or a related field.
* 10+ years of proven experience including a minimum of 2 years Australian industry experience, working in either bridge construction, maintenance, or remediation.
* 1 to 2 years as a Project Manager in the civil engineering industry, or a similar position.
* Extensive experience delivering civil projects ranging from $0.5-10m
* Proven financial, risk, commercial, and contractual skills.
* High-level leadership skills, with the ability to successfully manage and direct small teams and operations.
* High-level relationship building and communication skills with both clients and staff.
* Thorough knowledge of established HSEQ systems and principles, with demonstrated experience in supporting safe working environments.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and control systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project (project management software), finance software (experience in Coins is desirable), CRM software.
