Stratco's Berrimah manufacturing facility is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic metal processing operator to join our team. The role of the Manufacturing Team Member, also known as a Folder Operator, is to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and customer base.
This is a full time opportunity working day shift (7:30am to 3:30pm) with overtime available. In return, we are offering the opportunity to develop a long-term career with a renowned leader, a competitive remuneration package, along with a great place to work.
Responsibilities:
* Manufacturing goods to the customers' requirements
* Operating metal folding and pressing machines
* Interpret product drawings
* General housekeeping activities
* Contribute during toolbox and team meetings
* Participate in relevant training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
* Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
Skills and attributes:
* A commitment to producing quality products
* Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery
* Experience using sheetmetal manufacturing equipment, particularly folders would be preferred, but not essential
* Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers' needs
* Good communicator, both written and verbal
* Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
* Able to work at pace within a team or at times individually
