Salary package: $95,987 - $110,489 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: 2x Full time, Fixed term (up to 6 months)
The Position
Under broad direction, the Senior Research Contracts Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality research contract management services to ANU researchers. This includes working collaboratively with academic and research staff to prepare, review, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of research-related agreements. These may include:
* Research project variations
* Confidentiality agreements for research and intellectual property sharing
* Memoranda of understanding with industry and research institutions
* Material transfer agreements
* Subcontracting arrangements with government, industry, and other research organisations
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Research Contracts Office. In this role, you will engage directly with researchers to understand project requirements and ensure contractual terms are appropriate, compliant with university policies, and conducive to the successful delivery of world-class research.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication and negotiation skills, along with demonstrated experience in research, research management, and contract drafting and review. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the university, including the Legal Office, Research Partnerships, Commercialisation and Intellectual Property, and other areas within the Research and Innovation Portfolio.
The Person
To succeed in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and managing a high volume of research-related agreements. Comprehensive training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
