Perform service, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding on fire detection systems and related electrical fire safety components.
Work on a variety of fire safety equipment like smoke and heat detectors, fire panels, evacuation systems, emergency lighting, emergency exit signage and well-known brands like Ampac, Notifier, and Tyco.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues within fire systems.
Complete compliance inspections in line with QBCC and Australian Standards (e.g., AS 1851).
Maintain accurate service reports and liaise professionally with clients on-site.
Occasionally assist with minor installation or upgrade works.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Current Queensland Electrical Licence (Required).
QBCC Fire Detection Licence or accreditation (highly desirable).
Experience with fire systems (e.g., Ampac, Notifier, Tyco) or a strong willingness to cross-train into the fire industry.
A valid Queensland driver's licence (essential).
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Electricians with a desire to transition into the fire industry are highly advised to apply.
