Our client is seeking to appoint an Assistant Development Manager to join their property development group delivering retail-focused developments including neighbourhood centres, shopping centres and mixed-use projects across Australia.
This role will support the full lifecycle of development projects, working closely with experienced development professionals to help deliver high-quality assets from acquisition through to completion.
The Role
You will work across multiple projects providing support in development delivery, financial analysis and stakeholder coordination.
* Support Development Managers in delivering projects from site acquisition through to completion
* Coordinate project consultants including architects, planners, engineers and quantity surveyors
* Assist with project timelines, approvals and documentation
* Support tender processes and contractor engagement
* Assist with development feasibility modelling and financial analysis
* Track project budgets, costs and variations
* Support internal reporting and project performance analysis
* Liaise with local councils and regulatory authorities
* Assist with development applications and planning approvals
* Identify and assess potential development and site acquisition opportunities
* Coordinate consultant inputs for planning submissions
* Work closely with leasing, asset management and construction teams
* Assist with tenant coordination and project delivery requirements
* Support engagement with community and external stakeholders
About You
* Experience in property development, construction, planning, or project management
* Strong financial and analytical capability
* Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
