About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and detail-focused Full-Time Cleaner to join our Operations & Facilities team. The role is responsible for ensuring rooms, common areas and office environments are maintained to an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Cleaning Zones
* Student bedrooms and some ensuites
* Common rooms, lounges and study areas
* Dining hall and late meals room
* Office spaces and reception
* Resident communal bathrooms and showers
* Corridors, stairwells and entryways
* Laundry facilities
* Grounds cleanliness (light duties)
Key Responsibilities
* Daily cleaning of designated residential and common areas
* Deep cleaning during student turnover and holiday periods
* Waste disposal and recycling
* Cleaning of high-touch surfaces and sanitation zones
* Maintaining storerooms, equipment and chemical registers
* Reporting maintenance issues and safety hazards to Operations team
* Supporting event setup/pack down when required
* Ensuring compliance with cleaning, hygiene and WHS standards
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in commercial or institutional cleaning
* Be a person who has pride in their work and goes the extra mile
* Ability to work independently and within a small permanent team (3 cleaners)
* Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
* Commitment to safety, confidentiality and professionalism
* Physical capacity to undertake manual cleaning tasks
Desirable
* Experience in residential accommodation or school/college environments
* Familiarity with WHS obligations and safe chemical use
* Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid and CPR certifications (advantageous)
