About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Advisor to join our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T;) Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that drives the delivery of modern ICT capability, supporting essential technology services through smart procurement and contract management.
As a Procurement Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and deliver value-for-money outcomes. You’ll be working closely with leaders and teams across IS&T; to provide expert guidance, manage end-to-end procurement activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and support on procurement policies, procedures, and best practice.
Prepare, review, and manage procurement documentation, including acquisition plans, evaluation plans, negotiation strategies, and purchase recommendations.
Lead the establishment of low- to medium-risk contracts that meet customer requirements and deliver strong outcomes.
Manage procurement projects, including development, coordination, and implementation of technology arrangements under Whole-of-Government, departmental, and agency-specific contracts.
Ensure compliance with commercial, financial, and legal frameworks.
Identify opportunities to enhance procurement outcomes, improve efficiency, and maximise value-for-money.
Support the development and implementation of new procurement processes and systems.
Contribute to a positive culture of innovation, adaptability, and change.

You’re an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a energetic environment. You combine strong technical knowledge of procurement frameworks with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver practical solutions. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating complex requirements while keeping outcomes in focus.
