Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Configure, maintain, administer, and deploy a wide range of cybersecurity technologies such as Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, vulnerability scanners, and other security tools.
2. Provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, deployment, management, configuration, and use of cybersecurity technology in response to malicious activity directed toward enterprise networks, systems, and information.
3. Troubleshoot complex technical problems involving a wide range of cybersecurity technologies against sophisticated threats.
4. Guide other IT engineers on the use of cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, EDR, and others in responding to information security incidents. Develop requirements for technical capabilities needed to defend a large, geographically dispersed enterprise.
5. Recommend configuration and architectural changes to improve the performance, usability, and value of cybersecurity and analysis tools. Ensure that the technology employed by the Cybersecurity Operations Center complements operational processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
2. Minimum 7 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of practical experience in a technology administration role.
3. Knowledge of netflow and other analytic methods for detecting malicious network activity.
4. Advanced knowledge and experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems and common applications.
5. Hands-on experience with cloud security and tools.
6. Proficiency with SIEM solutions (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, etc.).
7. Previous experience with various phases of security incident response.
8. Security certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CISA, or similar.
