About the Location
Set amongst the trees with Birubi beach nearby, Ingenia Anna Bay is in a quiet semi-rural area of Port Stephens with convenient access to shops, medical centres and other local amenities.
About the Role
The Grounds and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Grounds and Maintenance team maintain the required appearance of the site, attending to any maintenance issues as they arise in accordance with the requirements of the site.
This position is casual, with the potential for additional hours to be picked up during peak periods.
Responsibilities
* Maintain public areas, gardens, lawns, and facilities to high standards, including pool care, equipment upkeep, and repairs.
* Supervise, coach, and support maintenance staff; manage performance, recruitment, and team development.
* Manage maintenance budgets, log and track repair work, prepare purchase orders, and support budgeting processes.
* Coordinate with contractors, respond to resident queries, and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
* Conduct site inspections, ensure safe work practices, maintain records, and uphold WHS policies.
About You
* Proven experience in building and grounds maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies confidently.
* High level of customer service with a positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
* Comfortable with manual tasks including lifting, gardening, equipment use, and regular physical activity across the site.
* Knowledgeable in safe work practices, including proper use of PPE, tools, and chemicals.
* Current 'C' class driver's licence.
