This government department is focused on improving the experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian Government. They are looking for a senior change and project officer for their procurement team.
Your new role
* Supporting the planning and execution of a large-scale procurement strategy and sourcing project.
* Applying project and change management methodologies to ensure smooth delivery and transition of services.
* Managing project parameters including budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables to meet quality standards and timelines.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, schedules, and reports.
* Identifying and managing risks throughout all phases of the project using the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework.
* Providing governance support, including secretariat duties for steering committees and working groups, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legislative requirements.
* Developing and implementing a comprehensive change and communication plan, including:
o Stakeholder identification and engagement
o Impact assessments
o Change strategy development
o Drafting communication materials
o Supporting implementation and transition activities
* Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure business continuity and a seamless contract transition.
* Demonstrating leadership aligned with public sector values, and supporting broader departmental priorities as required.
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience in project and change management, particularly in complex procurement environments.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and governance requirements.
* Experience in Victorian Government procurement is highly desirable.
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
