This role sits within the Taxes & Grants Division in the Duties & Grants Compliance team About the team Taxes and Grants is responsible for customer interactions for all tax and grant products. Duties Compliance team is part of Taxes and Grants division within Revenue NSW. We undertake assessments, revenue collection, enquiries, investigations and client education services. We administer grants and use our expertise to research, develop and implement programs to make it easier for our customers to comply. This is an opportunity for you to be a part of team that ensures that customers are compliant with their obligations under state taxation and grant legislation. The role involves undertaking research and gather evidence on non-compliance and prepare submissions are reports to relevant authorities Your day-to-day Assess complex matters and provide professional legislative and procedural advise to clients and client representatives (solicitors and accountants etc) to ensure they comply with statutory obligations Case management – responsible for assigned case outcomes. Provide coaching and undertake quality assurance reviews for other staff members in the team to identify training needs and ensure consistency and accuracy. Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of duties legislation, policies, procedures and business rules to provide quality advice to customers and stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Knowledge and experience in the application and interpretation of Duties legislation. Experience assessing complex matters and committed to delivering quality outcomes Experienced in report writing Ability to research and apply critical thinking techniques in analysing information and making informed decisions. Self-motivated with the ability to complete work within set timeframes and standards.
