Located at Cumberland Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District, you'll join NSW's largest and Australia's oldest mental health facility. Set within Western Sydney, Cumberland Hospital provides comprehensive primary to tertiary mental health services and is a key partner in the new Integrated Mental Health Complex at Westmead.

What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Pharmacist Grade 1 / 2, you will provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services across inpatient mental health units within WSLHD. You will ensure medicines are safe, appropriate and aligned with best practice standards.
* Conduct medication reconciliation, clinical review and pharmaceutical care planning
* Partner with prescribers to optimise medication management and high-risk medicines
* Provide patient counselling, discharge support and medication education to carers and staff
* Participate in ward rounds, quality improvement initiatives and medication safety audits
* Contribute to education, supervision and training of interns, pharmacists and students
You'll practice in line with AHPRA, SHPA and NSW Health standards, supporting antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions (e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy)
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
* Full AHPRA registration without restrictions. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees' Pharmacist (State) Award and are expected to continually demonstrate achievement of at least three of the five listed competencies within the Award.
* Demonstrated experience as a pharmacist delivering safe and effective pharmacological care to patients living with mental health conditions.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical drug knowledge and superior understanding of general medicine, with proven competence in applying this expertise to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholders to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving, and implementing solutions.
* Proven commitment to professional development, continuing education and pharmacy research, including membership of a professional pharmacy association, such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) or the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA).
