Job Overview
The role involves leading the digital governance agenda and uplift risk, assurance, and data stewardship across the institution.
* Drive the Digital Governance function within IT, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
* Develop governance frameworks that ensure platforms, services, and information are resilient, compliant, and enabling of research, education, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and mature the Digital Governance framework.
* Lead data governance to ensure stewardship aligns with institutional priorities, regulatory obligations, and best practices.
* Embed proactive IT and cyber risk management aligned with the institution's Risk Management Framework.
* Run the annual assurance program for Digital Technology Solutions.
* Promote service excellence by chairing problem/release/configuration management forums, leading post-incident reviews, and setting clear SLAs and metrics.
About You
You will bring a pragmatic approach and be able to influence at executive level. Proven experience in delivering and maintaining major GRC frameworks is essential.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks.
* Able to define and optimize processes using ITIL and lead governance and quality assurance oversight for complex digital/cybersecurity initiatives.
* Experience leading executive committees and communicating governance frameworks to senior leaders; strong policy/report writing skills.
* An inclusive people leader who empowers teams, sets clear KPIs, and actively manages performance and development.
