The Opportunity
As an Administrative Support Officer, you'll provide proactive and efficient administrative support to Delivery Zone 2 Regional South, helping ensure the smooth operation of the Murray Bridge regional office. Reporting to the Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for the office, managing reception, enquiries, courier bookings, and accounts payable processing through Basware.You'll also maintain accurate records, support payroll documentation, and contribute to HR functions—all while delivering professional service and supporting a collaborative team environment.
Your contribution will be seen through:
* Managing front-of-office operations and communication channels.
* Processing financial transactions and maintaining records.
* Supporting HR documentation and reporting.
* Delivering responsive and reliable administrative support.
About You
You're a reliable and customer-focused professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to administrative support.
You'll demonstrate:
* Clear and concise communication, with the ability to respond to enquiries professionally and maintain confidentiality.
* A collaborative mindset, working effectively with colleagues to meet service performance objectives.
* The ability to manage administrative functions across programs, systems, and policies with accuracy and efficiency.
* A sound understanding of government processes and the ability to work under general direction to deliver quality outcomes.
* Strong interpersonal skills, handling sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy while building trusted relationships.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
