WSP is seeking a Graduate Hydraulic Designer to join our established Brisbane hydraulic team within our broader, multidisciplinary Building Services group. In this role, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Mission Critical, Aviation, and Defence, while developing your skills through technical mentorship and ongoing professional growth opportunities.
Your primary focus will be the design, documentation, and delivery of compliant hydraulic systems using BIM/CAD platforms. You'll apply hydraulic design standards, complete hydraulic calculations, and produce accurate technical documentation and specifications to support successful project delivery. You'll also collaborate closely with internal and external design teams to coordinate BIM outputs and support senior designers and engineers throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities
* Produce hydraulic designs, drawings, and models using BIM/CAD (including Revit) to meet project and compliance requirements.
* Apply Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant authority requirements to ensure compliant hydraulic system design outcomes.
* Complete hydraulic calculations and contribute to the development of design documentation and specifications.
* Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to align design outputs and resolve clashes/coordination issues.
* Support senior designers/engineers across design reviews, documentation packages, and delivery milestones.
* Contribute to a quality‐driven team culture, with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (or higher). Strong understanding of Australian Standards, the NCC, and relevant authority requirements. Familiarity with Revit and H2X. Experience as a BIM Technician/Drafter, and/or hands‐on experience as a plumber. Proficiency in industry‐standard design software and tools. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently. A proactive and analytical mindset for problem‐solving. Willingness to embrace new technologies and industry advancements. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning. Eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory.
