This role represents a rare opportunity for an operationally savvy, Practice Manager with prior start-up, medical expertise to project manage a new practice from concept stage to being fully operational on September 01.
The organization is privately owned and founded by leading Brisbane specialist surgeons, with a clear vision to deliver a premium, patient‐centred experience supported by best‐in‐class systems, technology, and care. They seek to hire an experienced Practice Manager to plan, build, launch, optimise and take full end to end ownership of their exciting new venture.
Key tasks will include coordinating the clinic's set up and fit out including equipment, instruments, furniture, establishing all supplier relationship and ensuring a first class patient‐ready environment is established.
To do so effectively, will require you to project manage the following -
System & Infrastructure
* Select and implement suitable practice management, accounting & comms. systems;
* Establish IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and hardware;
* Introduce AI‐enabled tools to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
Governance & Compliance
* Build all policies, procedures, forms, and operational frameworks;
* Ensure full regulatory and accreditation readiness.
People & Culture
* Design the team structure (~10 staff initially);
* Lead the recruitment of admin, clinical support, and specialist roles;
* Implement onboarding, training, and performance frameworks.
Patient Experience & Brand
* Deliver a seamless, high‐quality patient journey and experience;
* Work with external partners on brand, website, marketing and communications.
Operational & Commercial Foundations
* Implement all operational SOP's, bookings, billings, theatre coordination, and clinic workflows;
* Establish reporting, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
Post‐Launch Optimisation
* Refine systems, processes, and team capability post opening;
* Drive innovation, continuous improvement and scalability post opening.
About You
You are an experienced Practice Manager, but so much more! Your background demonstrates success in setting up or significantly scaling a medical / specialist practice / clinic from concept stage to being fully operational.
You bring with you strong operational and project delivery capability, commercial thinking and exceptional attention to detail. You are also pro‐active, confident, calm under pressure, solutions focused and " just get things done".
